This original Hat design is my interpretation of Lake Winnipesaukee, NH a glacial mountain lake, 23 miles long located at the edge of the White Mountains. It is such fun to interpret a picture, a feeling, a place or an idea and put this interpretation in knitted form with symbols, color, texture, and depth. I have used various ancient Latvian Symbols, textured stitches, a splash of color, a bead here or there, tassels, and hand dyed yarns to create this warm hat with trees, mountains and waves. Please come out and be a hat designer yourself as your hat will be totally original and your own and skills learned can be used in so many other projects. This hat will not be completed in the time frame but you will have all skills needed to complete your original design I am able to adjust this design to all skills of knitters so do not be afraid to try. . And as in all my workshops, “ You can do what you want, the opportunity’s on, and if you find a new way, you can do it today.” Cat Stevens.
