
About the Wool Festival at Taos
The Mountain and Valley Wool Association, producer of the Wool Festival at Taos, is proud to have produced the 28th Annual Wool Festival at Taos in 2011. We are working on creating a great 29th annual festival for 2012. The 2012 Wool Festival at Taos will be taking place on October 6 & 7, 2012 - Always the first full weekend in October!
The Wool Festival at Taos is an annual event including:
- Outstanding regional wool market, featuring juried vendors displaying their wool fiber, yarns, and artistic creations.
- Fiber Critters Showcase – expect to see sheep, alpacas, goats, angora rabbits, and more!
- Demonstrations of shearing, spinning, dyeing, and other wool related skills.
- Competitions - see the best in hand spinning, wool and fleece, and finished products.
- Food vendors, featuring lamb delicacies, goat cheeses, and other delicious choices.
- A festive, musical atmosphere that is fun for the whole family!
